Kiarra Crockett-Pope

Hi, I’m Kiarra Crockett-Pope! I’m a former Division I softball player and coach with experience developing athletes at both the collegiate and travel softball levels. Most recently, I served as the Pitching Coach at UC San Diego, where I worked with Division I athletes on skill development, performance, and the day-to-day demands of competing at the collegiate level. Today, I coach with SoCal Sting Thomas/Grimm and provide private and small-group softball lessons throughout the Orange County and Los Angeles areas. My approach to lessons is about more than just getting reps in. I want every athlete I work with to understand what they’re doing, why they’re doing it, and how it translates to the game. I focus on building strong fundamentals, efficient movement, confidence, and a better overall understanding of the game. More than anything, I believe in developing the person behind the player. Softball has taught me some of the most valuable lessons in my own life, and I want to create an environment where athletes can grow in confidence, accountability, discipline, and independence while continuing to develop their game. Whether we’re working on hitting, pitching, defense, or overall development, my goal is to meet each athlete where they are, challenge them, and give them the tools to continue progressing.
